Fair Use

At PostMyParty, our email feature is designed for use by independent direct sellers and small businesses to communicate with their customers and party guests. To protect deliverability and ensure compliance with email marketing laws, we provide this Fair Use and Permitted Contacts Policy (“Policy”) to explain acceptable use of our email tools.

1. Intended Use

The PostMyParty email feature is intended for one-to-one or small-scale group communication with customers, party guests, and team members who have given you permission to contact them. It is not intended for mass-marketing campaigns, list rentals, or large-scale promotional mailings.

2. Permitted Contacts

You may only send emails through PostMyParty to contacts who have opted in or otherwise explicitly granted you permission to receive messages from you.
This includes:

  • People who voluntarily provided their email address to you for the purpose of receiving party invitations, updates, or related communications;
  • Existing customers or team members with whom you have an established relationship.

You may not upload or email:

  • Purchased, rented, borrowed, scraped, or third-party marketing lists;
  • Contacts who have not consented to receive your emails;
  • Contacts who have requested to unsubscribe or opted out.

You are solely responsible for ensuring all contacts meet these requirements.

3. Fair Use Limitations

While PostMyParty currently provides unlimited email usage, our email feature is subject to a Fair Use Policy designed to maintain system integrity and deliverability for all users.

We reserve the right to review account activity and impose reasonable limits if we detect:

  • Unusually high email volume inconsistent with typical direct selling use (< 5000 emails/mo);
  • Spam complaints or high bounce rates;
  • Activity suggesting the system is being used for bulk marketing or non direct sales related purposes.

If your use exceeds normal direct seller volumes, we may:

  • Contact you to discuss your usage;
  • Require you to reduce volume or segment your list;
  • Suspend or terminate email privileges for continued misuse.

4. Compliance With Law

All emails sent through PostMyParty must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the CAN-SPAM Act (U.S.) and any other anti-spam or privacy laws in your jurisdiction.
Each email you send must include:

  • Accurate sender information;
  • A clear subject line;
  • A working unsubscribe or opt-out mechanism.

5. Enforcement

PostMyParty reserves the right to suspend or terminate email privileges, or accounts, for violations of this Policy or our Terms of Use. We may also take corrective actions to protect our systems, including throttling message delivery or removing uploaded contact lists that violate these terms.

6. Reporting Abuse

If you believe another PostMyParty user is sending unauthorized or spam messages, please report it to abuse@postmyparty.com.
